Visit Atwood Lake Park, walk the trails and climb the tower for a birds eye view of the lake area including an abundance of wild life and numerous bird varieties from resident Hummingbirds to majestic Osprey. No entrance fee when you are a guest of Whispering Pines.
Enjoy a couple of hours or a full day exploring the coves of Atwood Lake, swimming, fishing, sunbathing and relaxing on a pontoon boat you can rent from Atwood Lake Boats. They also have kayaks and fishing boats for rent.
Bring along you bikes and ride the south side of the lake, about eight miles in total, then return to Whispering Pines and sit on the hillside with a snack basket, enjoying the views of the lake.

Motorcycling is choice in this area. Carroll County is one of four counties in all of Ohio that does not have a 4-lane highway. This makes riding perfect on the gently slopping and winding roads traveling through small towns. Sheltered parking is available at the Inn.
