Summer is over, fall is vibrant still, but disappearing fast. Today we had our first frost at a cold 29 degrees, and it’s only the middle of October. Very soon all motorcycles will be stored for the winter months.

During the warm weather Whispering Pines is host to many couples riding motorcycles. Two couples pictured above visit every year. This year Mindy and Jeff rode in on a brand new Harley Davidson Road King that was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately it did rain, but they will ride in rain or shine. Dianne and Steve also ride a Harley Classic and they were fortunate with sunshine each day.

One of the attractions for motorcyclists is the fact that Carroll County is one of only four counties in all of Ohio that has only two lane roads. It’s a rural area with very windy roads lined with fields of corn and wheat and beautiful horses. It really is so much fun to ride surrounded by the spectacular scenery.

We invite all riders to visit Whispering Pines. Our long driveway and parking area is paved so you don’t have to ride on gravel. You can store your bike overnight in our barn and if it should rain we’ll even let you use our car to go for dinner. Did you know that you can rent a motorcycle? Visit Adventure Harley-Davidson in Dover.

Bill use to ride up until a few years ago, but that’s another story. Needless to say he really enjoys seeing all the motorcycles when they arrive. In fact just a couple of weeks ago, we stopped in a Harley dealer to look – but didn’t buy. Maybe another time.

Email us a photo of your bike and of your most memorable trip.

Looking forward to seeing all of you next summer.

Hope to see you soon,
Linda
