Day 6 – Mountaineer Casino
Mountaineer Casino & Racetrack in Chester, W. Virginia is less than a 1 ½ hour drive from our Ohio the Bed and Breakfast. They have gaming machines and tables for your enjoyment. On the way you can spend some time at the Homer-Laughlin China Factory, home to the classic Fiestaware. Be sure to stop in the factory outlet where you will find bargains galore.

The Warrior Dash is coming to Carroll County and it’s going to be one crazy event. The worldwide event is an obstacle course 5K run. It is a mud-crawling, fire-leaping, extreme run and is held on the most challenging and rugged terrain across the globe. Warriors conquer 12 extreme obstacles, push their limits, and celebrate with music, drinks and warrior helmets.
Online resgistration is currently more than 8,800 and is expected to grow to 12,000, according the the producers of the event, Red Frog Productions. It will take place September 10th in Carrollton and the cost to compete is $55.

Day 5 – Canton, Ohio
Canton is located about 30 minutes north of Atwood Lake. You can begin your day visiting the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Canton Classic Car Museum and McKinley Presidential Library, Museum and Monument. Have a light lunch at the First Ladies Tea Room before taking a guided tour through the National First Ladies Museum. Stop at Harry London Chocolate Factory for an afternoon treat before your dinner reservation at Gervasi Vineyard & Italian Bistro.

Day 4 – Museums
A visit to our area would not be complete without experiencing a tour at Warthers Museum, Worlds Master Carver who left behind an amazing legacy. The Reeves Victorian House was home to Jeremiah Reeves, a wealthy Dover industrialist and banker. And finally a visit to Historic Zoar Village founded in 1817 by German separatists. Try dinner at Tozzi’s Italian Restaurant located in Magnolia, but save dessert for homemade ice cream at Taggerts.
