Great Trail Festival Summer has brought a host of great things to do and places to go for guests that have stayed with us at Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast. With a few weeks of summer left there are still some great events happening in the area and coming up August 23-24, 2014 is the Great Trail Festival in Malvern, OH.

This unique festival is in its 33rd year is Ohio’s largest and finest French and Indian era festival. It is a celebration of American folk art along with contemporary and country crafting. The festivities will be located right on Ohio State Route 43 between Malvern and Carrollton, Ohio. Over the course of the two days you will be able to experience:

Live music and clog dancing

Historic lectures and demonstrations

Live buffalo herd

Show fiddlers and Scottish pipers

Fantastic food

Scenic grist mill

Daily battle reenactment

Tomahawk throwing championship
