Did you know that state and county fairs have been around sine 1841? The first organized fair was in Syracuse, NY and it didn’t take long for this fun community event to catch on. The annual fair often becomes the centerpiece for a town’s social calendar, as it is an event that brings the whole community together. Whether it is showcasing prized animals, judging livestock, competing for the title of “best” baked good, hanging on for dear life on the fair rides, or eating yummy food until you can’t see straight—it all happens at the county fair.
The Carroll County Fair was established in 1850 and is a pinnacle summer event in Carrollton, OH that draws crowds of all ages. The annual event will be going on from July 15-20, 2014 and features horse pulls, demolition derbies, livestock shows, rides, live music and great food.
