In July, be sure to catch the 4th of July fireworks on Atwood Lake from the grounds of Whispering Pines Bed & Breakfast.

Motorcycling is choice in this area. Carroll County is one of four counties in all of Ohio that does not have a 4-lane highway. This makes riding perfect on the gently sloping and winding roads traveling through small towns. Sheltered parking is available at the inn.
Area festivals include Atwood Fall Festival on the first weekend in October, Algonquin Mill Festival during the second weekend in October, Great Trails Festival in September, and Zoar Fall Harvest Festival and Christmas Festival.
